Mother Teresa loves to be of service, so feel free to call upon her. She was a simple woman, so you do not have to do anything fancy. Light a white candle and call her name. Explain hat you would like her to help you with and ask for her assistance. Open your heart, and spend time in silence so you can hear her suggestions.
Mother Teresa was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, and she spent more than forty-five years comforting the poor, the dying, and the unwanted around the world. Her love transcended death, and she continues to work with people, teaching them about the power of love, faith, gratitude and the being of service. As a young woman, she found a dying woman in the streets of Calcutta. She stayed with her, comforting her until she died. That experience changed her life, and she made her calling to help those in need.
It is said she had this prayer on her wall, and it nicely sums up her philosophy:
“People are often unreasonable, irrational and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere, people may deceive you. Be are honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you will do today will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway. ”
